The New Class Act

about

The first manifestation of this track was written all the way back in 2005, with a version appearing on the band's 2006 release entitled "Self-Prescribed Feelgood." The lyrics were largely an impromptu freestyle that never changed, many of which pay homage to acts such as Pepper, Mobb Deep, and Onyx. It is the last known studio recording of the original line-up which included Dan Fretz on drums, Nate Triano on guitar and backing vocals, Brandon Ventresca on bass and Ryan Guay on lead guitar and vocals. Additional synths by Roman Marcone. Recorded live off the floor at Halo Studio in Hamilton, Ontario in June of 2012. This version of the track is a stand alone single that was released for the first time as a gift to fans for helping the band reach 1K followers on Spotify.

lyrics

Verse #1
I'm in a stranger time than anyone before me/
And I will walk right up and down that street to obtain/
What I thought, was the same old story/
But now its clear to me that's not the case

Chorus
I realized something about the way you act/
You may be cautious curtious and always full of tact/
But if you think for a second that I'm gonna buy that crap/
You better watch your back/
You better watch your/
You better watch your back/

Verse #2
Its like every time I take what it is before me/
You are the first to jump upon my back for something/
You know you are I will surely bore me/
But now its clear to me thats not the case

Verse 3
I don't mind
To look and raise my eyes to the stars above
They don't shine
For you, or me or maybe its you or maybe its me or maybe its that guy over there with the number one G/ I don't really care my name is Ryan Guay/ and I represent the Street Pharmacy check it out in Welly yeah/
