about

Street Pharmacy's album "Free Delivery" is quickly becoming a staple album in reggae-rock. The album contains the singles "Welcome 2 tha Street Pharmacy", "Degenerate", "Sober State of Fame" and "Winter Coat".
In 2008, thepier.org named Free Delivery one of the most impressive Canadian exports of Reggae-Rock to date and also named their follow up record "The Legacy of Rudy" the 18th most anticipated release of 2009. In 2014, Free Delivery has received somewhat of a rebirth with a massive influx of downloads in Germany, England and Australia where the album is just being discovered for the first time. In light of this new development, Street Pharmacy has released Free Delivery with two bonus tracks "Empathy" & "Juxtapose" as well given the whole album a shinny new remaster. Street Pharmacy

Verse #1

One, two three-

I never really understood when I was a kid th-th-that the motivations in me/ the rhymes that I be spittin’ are makin’ other emcees dizzy/ always keep busy/ playing the Guit just me and Trizzy/ the Boyz are Back in Town we’re droppin’ hooks like Thin Lizzy/ and when I cultivate this lyrical biz I’m like a chemist/ cuz we’re balancing some complex equations unlike a menace/ I got a system, an order, a method 2 my madness/ and when you hear our tunes it will eliminate your sadness/ because we’re takin’ from, all the musical genres/ we blend it with a little reggae rock and now its on ya/ stereo, blarin’ up and down your block/ makin’ people come together like the first Woodstock/ and when you hear our rhythm section/ it ain’t no Star Trek Convention/ the rhymes that I be spittin’ are teachin’ Captain Kirk a lesson/ I don’t stammer, or stutter or am pompous in my ways/ but when you hear the Pharmacy upon tha Street, it always pays

Verse #2

From the very secondary notion I’m expressin’/ I never shy from battles, never need for any stressin’/ because we keep it pure that is the message in our minds/ by writing lyrical Shangri-La that’d stop a fiend from snorting lines/I say “my dear, my dear, my dear you do not know me but I know you very well, now let me tell you ‘bout the feelings I feel for you when I try”/ We’re even making music come out ya Pharcyde/ every single day its clear these words don’t lie/ our flow will make you want to stay/ hell, my name is Ryan Guay, I kick the ball like Pelé from Brazil/ my rhymes are ill so I suggest you quit smokin’ tha kill on all your discounted cigarettes/ you come 2 tha Pharmacy? A choice you wont regret/ You’re at the Street Pharmacy? A place in time you wont forget.

Track Name: Sober State of Fame
Sober State of Fame
Music and Lyrics By Ryan Guay

Verse #1

She’s a girl who’s on the brink, with a personality, so different from the rest it boggles my mind/ She loves the bars, she loves to drink, and my heart begins to sink every time her image runs across my mind/

Chorus

And all these parties are the same, in my Sober State of Fame, we’re completely different stragglers at night/ My aspirations for the week, are to do her in her sleep, naw I’m just kiddin’ I cant afford to do anytime… anytime/

Verse #2

Fell in love at age 14, since that day I’ve chased the dream, saw her shoulder tappin’ at the liquor store/ Now every time that she’s around, she drinks so much she nearly drowns, At 3 am she’ll start to pound upon my door/

Bridge

So As Reality Alleviates History/ Before Every Thought I Hesitate-heavily/ And You Wait Around Ravenous Doors/ To Take Advantage Of The Sober State Of Fame Endured.
Track Name: Crazy Gunner
Crazy Gunner
Music and Lyrics By Ryan Guay

Verse #1

I was walking up the block/ with the sack that I just bought/ as if I knew I would get caught/ it was supposed to be on lock DOWN/ that’s what heard as I hit the ground/ a deep-throated voice saying don’t make a sound/ “this is a robbery kid, so I suggest empty your pockets”/ “But shit all I got is some gum and some bottle rockets”/ and I was worried about the fuzz/ now from just walking up the street I’m gunna end up like my cousin/ ya he thought he could get tough in the face of a mugger/ but the kid was packin’ heat in his coat, a crazy gunner so he jetted/ but his heavy legs were just too slow/ three blasts later now he’s dead from an unsuspected foe/ all of the thoughts and scenarios running through my brain/ I’ll play the hero, naw kid that’s too insane/ thinking about my mother I gave the mugger all I got/ and I now I’ll live another day/ an important lesson that I’m taught

Chorus

I keep My Head In The Clouds, I Keep My Feet On The Floor
Oh You Know You’ve Wanted More

Verse #2

And I was chillin’ at the bar/ just finished playing my guitar/about to jump into y car/ the road I sped but not too far DOWN/ I hit a joker, knocked him on the ground/ right off his bike was full of blood and didn’t make a sound/ “This is a tragedy kid so I suggest you hit and run it”/ “But shit, the penitentiary isn’t all tea and crumpets”/ hell I was worried about the crime/ now from just driving down the street I’m gunna end up doin’ time/ I used to know this tool from school who smoked a mother and her kids/ he fled the scene and now he’s locked up doing bids but don’t sweat it/ for I was driving way to slow/ I doubt he’s dead but there is only one way I could ever know/ I turned the kid upon his back and now it was to my surprise/ it was the mugger from that day I hoped to god that he survived/ crazy karma's got a way of changing daily life/ I called an ambulance so now the kid will see another night/
Track Name: Figure It Out
Figure It Out
Music and Lyrics by Ryan Guay

Verse #1

How come the pressure of society conditions men to have a wife, and a kid and a family? Yes I know, yes I know that’s for sure/
How do I know that there’s a life for me within the status quo, the average joe hypocrisy? Yes I know, yes I know that’s for sure/

Pre Chorus

And when the rain comes pouring down/ I’m here to stay and when the rain comes pouring down/ don’t run away because this mold isn’t good enough, because this mold isn’t good enough (x2)

Chorus

I’ve been waiting for a brighter day, to have the whole world figured out/
I’ve looking for an easy way, so then I’ll know what their laughing about/
You gotta figure it out/ (x8)

Verse #2

No one is ever taught to chase the dream, sporadic passion is dismissed the earlier its seen, yes I know, yes I know that’s for sure/

And I’ve been lookin’ for an easy score, and I’ll be banging, rockin’, shockin’ upon every door, yes I know, yes I know that’s for sure/
Track Name: It's Better That Way
Its Better That Way
Music by Ryan Guay, Dan Fretz, Brandon Ventresca & Nate Triano, Lyrics by Ryan Guay

Verse #1

It was a bright eyed Sunday morning/ I woke up lying next to you/ In my mind I think baby maybe now is the time/ but I should probably see this through I like it better that way/ Its better that way…

I’ve never been the type of cat who gets shacked up/ I always got a lady out on the line/ So bitch please if your thinking that I’m falling in love/ you better quit and stop wasting your time I like it better that way/ Its better that way…

Chorus

I hope you’re thinkin’ I’m a one cat show
Because I’m guessin’ that you already know

Verse #2

A blank stare at your walls and your ceiling/ Can I escape from this one night stand/ Don’t wanna make a noise cuz then I’ll wake your pretty face/ don’t want to leave you with your head in your hands, I like it better that way/ Its better that way…

I don’t need another clingy dependent/ I don’t need another awkward pause/ I’ll leave a fake phone number magnetized to your fridge/ cuz I sure as hell won’t deal with your claws I like it better that way/ Its better that way…

Chorus

I hope your thinkin’ I’m a one cat show
Because I’m guessin’ that you already know
Inside my head I’ve got it all figured out
I know where I stand there’s no way you’re devout
Track Name: Degenerate
Degenerate
Music and Lyrics by Ryan Guay

Verse#1

Well I've ruined my voice from smoking and drinking/
On the Weekends at night hell you know what I'm thinking/
The hole in my soul that I have incurred/
Is from the sleepless nights that I've spent in a blur/
She told me baby everything is gunna be alright/
If you promise not to push it then I'll hold you tight/
Wheeling, Dealing, Persevering out the back of my trunk/
She said its over and now I'm looking like a high school punk/

Chorus

The Spiral is on its way down/
And I am screaming but not making a sound/
I need and answer but I ain't profound
I fell Through the bottom but not hitting the ground
I'm a Degenerate...

Verse#2

Well I've killed all the willing, embraced all the wicked/
I had a train out of town but you know that i missed it/
I got caught up in the hunt for a conspicuous jewel/
I found a diamond in the rough but I ain't no fool/
Educated with a promise to a certain degree/
But I Couldn't find a job out of University/
All the vocational training and my bad luck/
Flipping burgs and stealing buns off the delivery truck/

Bridge

Wont you see me now/
I’ll cross the bridge somehow/
Track Name: Two Brothers
Two Brothers
Music and Lyrics by Ryan Guay

Verse #1

Its not a question of a rivalry, a healthy competition at best/ And every word I speak is true, within this story of a family crest/ A glorified symbol of carnage they breed, two brothers who required to fill and killing need/ Full of true sadistic hate, they took it out upon the opposite sex/ Though will we ever understand what was their impulse for creating a mess/ Where were their parents and what were the cues, inconceivable boredom with nothing to do

Pre Chorus

Is it nature or nurture/ Locke or Rousseau/ In the case of two brothers this question I bestow/ Propulsion, compulsion to kill on a spree/ At two different times yet of the same breed/ Was it a lack of a mother, a father who seethed/ a significant other or biologically?/ In terms of a trigger, a catalytic rage/ Now they both stand alone left to rot in a cage

Chorus

I’m not gunna dumb it down or fake a new jack sound, pretend the variance is always alone/ its ok man, I don’t wanna give that a go

I’m not gunna dumb it down or fake a new jack sound, pretend the variance is always the same/ Its ok man, I don’t wanna live it that way, oh no no no no no no…

Verse #2

A prediction of their stature retrospectively is easily made/ And so its clear they have a problem, doubt the need to kill will rightfully fade/ a serial profile fit to a tee, with no answers to questions, we’re waiting patiently/ And if I were to dissect the memory of each oh all the horror I’d find/ Within a kinship never prudent of synthetic apprehensible minds/ Who were their specimen, what did they do, was it really that bad growing up in Kalamazoo
Track Name: Hey Elizabeth
Hey Elizabeth
Music and Lyrics by Ryan Guay

Verse #1

I’ve been thinking about the days/ when you and I would congregate about the system and its ways I remember when/ these words would just flow like a river/ from a quiver shooting arrows/ you know my bones would shiver sometimes/ but now I wonder where the hell that’s gone/ will the feeling ever come or has the emotion done me wrong and when you see me standing there/ the questions never halt/ racing through my brain and if all this distance is my fault…

Chorus

Hey Elizabeth, I built a wall but I’m tearing it down woah-oh
Hey Elizabeth, I may be lost but I’m meant to be found woah-oh
Hey Elizabeth, I found your number on a bathroom stall woah-oh
Hey Elizabeth, It said for a good time I should give it a call

Verse #2

Thinkin’ about the stories glory never seems to fade/ the youngest child full of doubt a trait that neither of us betrayed hell I/ still remember from the first time we spoke/ you made me nervous, not on purpose, on my words I felt I choked/ but then I realized you’re nuthin’ but a tease/ I am the cat, you are the mouse and now this rodents got the cheese so please/ spare me the agony and pain/ I’ve already been through childhood I want the fun without the games/

Bridge

It ain't hard when x4
You're telling the truth
Truth X2
Track Name: Broken Compass
Broken Compass
Music by Ryan Guay, Lyrics by Ryan Guay and Mark Melloni

Verse #1

Sun rises on a cold summers day/ On my way to buy a ticket to the salvation train/ Nothing ever seems to go my way/ Once again no umbrella and its starting to rain/

The raindrops fall on my cold weathered skin/ trying to find my peace of mind is like looking through that haystack for that godforsaken pin/ One day maybe I’ll experience what it feels like to win/ but for now I’ll try to carry on within/ But for now I’ll try to carry on

Chorus

Every neighbourhood has a legend, and every street has its story/
Far too many old religious superstitions, I got faith but not enough glory/ But for now I’ll try to pave a road that’s clear/
This isn’t a home but you can heal it from here/
You conceal it from fear/

Verse #2

A broken watch is right twice a day/ Well my life must be a broken compass 'cause it never seems to go the right way/ I stand without direction nor accompanying cause/ I’m never forward, to focused on the flaws/ The front that has developed while you’re fleeing from foes/ Makes you loose your real identity ‘til no body knows/ How to experience what it feels like to win/ But for now I’ll try to carry on within/ But for now I’ll try to carry on/
Track Name: Go It Alone
Go It Alone
Music and Lyrics by Ryan Guay

Chorus

Pain and suffering, he’s gunna go it alone
Don’t stand in his way, he’s gunna go it alone
He wont be afraid, he’s gunna go it alone
Don’t stand in his way, he’s gunna go it alone

Verse #1

He was living in a world of dreams, a partnership of intimate souls/
Ensuing the fire, the deadweight desire, eventually he paid the tolls/
If you can’t take the heat don’t stand so close to the kitchen is what he’s been told/
And now the lesson was learned and the third degree burns on his heart are apparent and bold

Pre Chorus

What ever happened to those days we acquiesced?/ When morality was sacred, and if you threw a stone you paid your debt/ Now he dreams and aspires, to find and admire the one with a heart of pure gold/ It’s a like we’re all living he’s beginning to loath

Verse #2

He was looking through a pair of shades, a lens that he never did own/
A gift from a liar, intentional buyer, the reminisce feels very cold/
But yet he holds on to the frames and the melted sand to remind him of a place to not go/
The role that’s portrayed by the selfish delays all the rational thoughts one controls
Track Name: This Life
This Life
Music and Lyrics by Ryan Guay

Verse #1

I’ve had my cerebellum swellin’ and I’ve broken my wrists/ It’s been a two year drought without catchin’ any fish/ I’ve been beaten down by a plethora of/ chicken pox scars and sore throats hang around me just for kicks/

Pre Chorus

From a psych ward to reality tv/ With all these stories who the hell would believe me?/ But like I’ve said before I wouldn’t change a thing/ Cuz I can hardly wait for what tomorrow brings/

Chorus

This life’s been good to be thus far, wouldn’t trade it for the heavens and all the stars/
This life’s been good to me thus far, don’t need to drown my sorrows at you’re local bar/

Verse #2

I’ve had the same best friend since the tender age of three/ I party once in awhile, but I score my booze for free/ I’ve got a blonde haired bombshell who’s interested in me/ She plays the bass guitar and rocks out to my CD/

Bridge

All the places I’ve called my own/ All the cloth that I’ve ripped and sewn/ I’ve stayed un-tattered so throw you’re stones/ Everything I cherish isn’t out on loan, yeah/
